New issue bond distribution requires the fast exchange of high volumes of data between many users as well as the multiple firms in the syndicate. As market volumes continue to grow and deals are executed ever faster, efficient automation becomes a vital business requirement. i-Synd is a web based application that meets those needs and allows each step of the new issue process to be executed online.
Orders and data can be instantly communicated across the network in almost real-time. Each stage of a deal from early roadshows, syndication and sale right up until allocation, hedging, billing & delivery can be completed over it.
Thousands of users across the globe and in many firms can be permissioned with a full range of fine-grained permissions that give access to the deal simultaneously. For instance, the issuer of the deal can be allowed to see the orderbook building in close to real time, with a detailed graphical analysis. Potential investors can be provided with necessary documents and disclaimers, permissioned according to their location and compliance type. The entire system is logged and audited so that every click and event can be reviewed later if required.
i-Synd can be delivered in two formats, internal and hosted. As an internal application, it works as a fully white-labelled system, branded as required by the client and installed on internal servers behind the firewall. This can allow specific customisation of the software to a clients needs as well as integration with internal sign-on and settlement systems. Hosted i-Synd is our ASP version which clients can access remotely without any need for hardware purchases or installation.

IssueNet
IssueNet (formerly ICMA Match) provides a complete electronic communication service between Fixed Income Syndicate Desks.
The service enables the secure transmission of deal and order data, together with the management of supporting unique client ICMA IDs*. The service is built upon modern open standard technologies, the ICMA API*, which allow it to be linked to existing systems within each firm or accessed via a browser as required.
The service has one specific goal, which is to cut the costs and time involved in exchanging information and managing the fixed income deal flow:
- Deal Invitations: at the launch of a new issue, all details and legal terms of the transaction are transmitted to all the syndicate members, investors and data services. All invitations and acceptances are processed through IssueNet.
- Order Messaging: each permissioned syndicate member can submit Indications of Interest and orders into the book, together with any price limits and hedge or switch information. Duplicate orders are identified by the service and may be de-duped. All allocations and order changes are messaged automatically across the service.
- Each function on IssueNet is supported by the unique identifier codes which the service provides on behalf of ICMA.

US Daily Prices and History
The U.S. Daily Prices & History database consists of:
- Fully adjusted stock prices for all listed equity securities in the United States.
- International Pricing, which is available upon request through our partnership with Telekurs Financial.
All prices are fully adjusted for stock splits and dividends. Historical split factors are also provided.
North American Industry Groups
The North American Industry Groups database is based on Hemscott's proprietary Industry Groups classification system.
The system is comprised of 9 macroeconomic sectors, 31 business segments and 215 industry groups. Each of the 215 industry groups may be broken out as a separate index with its own return calculation. These categories apply to both U.S. and Canadian companies.
Within the database, each company is assigned to a specific Industry Group. Once a company is classified, its financial data becomes part of the aggregated industry financial statement - weighted by the company's market capitalisation.
Clients can select and view aggregate financial data by Sector, Segment or Industry, and can also find individual company data within a specific Industry Group for company-to-industry comparisons.
US Executive Compensation
The U.S. Executive Compensation database provides comprehensive information on:
- Salaries
- Cash compensation
- Option grants
- Other stock-related compensation
- Auditor fees
These are as reported in the Annual Meeting Proxy Statements or Form 10-K, filed with the U.S.Securities and Exchange Commission.
The database currently provides compensation data for directors and officers of U.S. public companies. In addition to the detailed information from corporate company proxies, the Executive Compensation database also takes key financial performance data from Hemscott's U.S. Company Fundamentals database.
This additional data allows for richer analysis using a variety of methodologies:
- Analysis of historical compensation over time
- Compensation to company performance (as defined by stock price performance)
- Analysis of industry compensation trends.
Digital Dim Sum

Corporate Performance Graph
This product allows CFOs, Treasurers, Controllers or Investor Relations Officers to meet the reporting requirements of the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission - mandating SEC-registered companies to file an Annual Meeting Proxy Statement with company performance graphics.
Over 1,000 major corporate clients have relied on our service since the advent of this ruling in 1992. Hemscott is one of only a few officially licensed re-distributors of the S&P Total Return Index data for both the S&P broad market indices and the S&P industry group indices.
The Corporate Performance Graph presents a company's five-year cumulative total return (including dividend reinvestment) versus the return of its peer group index and versus the overall market index. In addition to the chart, each client receives the underlying data points and the list of peer group companies as supporting documentation.
Client orders are delivered within 48 hours by e-mail, fax or FedEx. Hemscott will expedite turnaround time upon request for an additional charge. The CPG is available in standard or various customized formats.
